Kotobukiya has announced an innovative and fun addition to their Star Wars line of products: Lightsabers merge with Japanese culture and “Chop Sabers” emerge! Suitable for eating sushi or defending the galaxy, the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader lightsabers measure over 9″ long, with the blades cast in translucent material. The smaller “children’s size” Yoda saber measures approximately 8″ long. As a special bonus each set includes translucent Star Wars logo chopstick rests.
Kotobukiya teams up KotoCollectors.com to help them launch a new collector fan based site and message board dedicated 100% to Kotobukiya products. They are starting by giving away a one-of-a kind Star Wars prototype, used in the creation of the Anakin Skywalker Clone Wars ArtFX+. This very unique prize was never made available to the public, never sold, is truly a one of a kind collectible and would be a great addition to any collection. There are two ways you can earn free entries to win this: the first way is sign up for KotoCollectors Message Boards and help to get them going, the second way is visit the Kotobukiya booth at Comic -Con.
Once you have 10 posts there (before 7/31/2009 at 11:59pm EST), you will be automatically entered to win. One winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries to win the Anakin Skywalker Clone Wars ArtFX+ Prototype (which will be shipped free of charge Worldwide). You can also earn a second bonus entry by checking out the Kotobukiya Booth #2601 during Comic-Con July 25th at Noon, where information on how to obtain a bonus entry will be given out. We may even have more surprises and bonus entry info as the week goes on, so stay tuned. Check out KotoCollectors.com and enter today!
Manga readers and Twilight fans (you know who you are!) everywhere will be delighted by the news that Yen Press will be publishing the manhwa (manga) adaptation of the popular vampire series, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
Now, if this manga becomes a hit, will an anime adaptation be far off?
The North American publisher Yen Press will release a manhwa adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight teenage vampire novel series by Korean artist Young Kim. The Entertainment Weekly magazine reports that “Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.” More details and illustrations will be published in the magazine’s next issue on Friday, although the publication date of the manhwa itself is still to be determined.
Only took pics of the box package but I’ll post proper review pics of this figure soon.
I just wanna make sure that I give this figure a proper photoshoot. ^_^
