Transformers Binaltech 13
Welcome to my first Toy/ Figure post of the year! \(^.^*)
Been eyeing this Transformers toy since it was released during the latter part of 2007 but it immediately sold out in most local toy stores. (ToT)
Fortunately, it was again available in some toy stores in Greenhills last December. (^_^) Anyway, just take a look at the pics to see why this particular Transformers toy is coveted by collectors.
Unlike other Transformers toys made by Hasbro or Takara Tomy (Transformers Henkei line), the Transformers Binaltech versions are mostly made of metal, thus, they are heavier than other Transformers toys in the same scale.
What made me really like this particular Transformer is ‘cos its based on Shockwave, one of my fave Decepticon characters. Dunno why they changed the name Shockwave to Laserwave, though.
Also, one of the reasons I really wanted this is ‘cos the transformed version of Laserwave is a Mazda RX-8! One of the coolest looking car designs IMHO. It’s so cool that Cyclops’ car in the movie X2 (the one that Wolverine “borrowed”), is a modified version of the Mazda RX-8.
So, forgive me if there are more pics of Laserwave in car-form compared to its robotic form. heheh! =p
The car form is so detailed that even the tires are branded! XD
Even the insides of the car is faithfully reproduced. Minus the leather seats, of course.
Here’s Laserwave in robotic form.
Even with this version, you can see that they still retained the trademark head and one hand/ one cannon arm design of Shockwave.
