Gashapon or Capsule Toys don’t have the same quality as larger 1/7 or 1/8 figures but there are some instances when the anime characters that you like aren’t available as 1/8 figures but are instead available as gashapons.
Luckily for me, I was able to get these gashapon figures while Xmas shopping last December from a local toy store. There were 4 different kinds of figures available from the gashapon machine and all are based on the Gundam 00 girls in swimsuits. ^^;
These are Sumeragi Lee Noriega, Wang Liu Mei, Nena Trinity and Louise Halevy. Since I’m only interested in getting Sumeragi and Wang, which I got in my first 2 tries, I never bothered getting the other 2 figures.
Take note that since gashapons are smaller and have relatively lower quality compared to 1/8 figures, there will be some imperfections on the PVC surface which is highly noticeable on gashapons that shows a lot of skin, such as these swimsuit figures. That’s why most of the pics on this post are photoshopped to show more of the beauty of gashapons rather than showcase their imperfections.
Sumeragi Lee Noriega is the Chief Strategist of Celestial Being and is almost always stationed at the mothership Ptolemaios, planning and guiding all the Gundams in battle.
Even at such a small scale, the detail is amazing. Kudos to Bandai for capturing Sumeragi in all her busty glory! =p
As you can see from the pics above, that wrap-around skirt that she’s wearing is cast-offable. XD
Tried my hand at compositing Sumeragi on a beach background. ^^;
Wang Liu Mei is one of the secret agents of Celestial Being and can be seen passing important information or missions to the mothership Ptolemaios in the anime.
This gashapon has a much better build than Sumeragi with very little flaws in the PVC. And you probably won’t see it in the pics since I already edited it anyway. =p

I forgot the name of the store but its from a toy store in Virra Mall, Greenhills.
