Motoko – Ghost in the Shell 2 ManMachine Interface

posted by Jay on October 18th, 2008

Motoko Aramaki (formerly known as Lt. Motoko Kusanagi)
Ghost in the Shell 2 ManMachine Interface
by Alpha Toycom

So, this is my newest “old” figure. New ‘cos I bought it two weeks ago at Collecticon 2008 and “old” ‘cos I bought it 2nd hand already. Reason why I bought a 2nd hand figure is ‘cos I already have one, which saves me the trouble of opening it and keeps my other figure in mint condition. Plus, I bought it a fraction of the cost of a new figure. ^^

So, here’s the front and back packaging.

Sexy back!

Motoko comes with a mini-drone assistant figure, which I affectionately named… Oink-Oink!

Hmmm… seems like Motoko and Oink-Oink don’t get along well.

Oink-Oink getting a piggyback ride.

Motoko waiting for her ride, Tachikoma.

Nice set of wheels.

This is Motoko without her visor on. She has a somewhat flat face, so I prefer her with her visor on.

Looks a lot better, doesn’t it? She looks more S&M this way! ^^

Ooops! @_@

Motoko: Hmmm… what weapon should I bring to the mission? A rifle perhaps…

Motoko: … or maybe a bazooka…

Motoko: … or how about a katana?

Motoko: Yeah! Katana it is!

Whoa, the major sure looks different now. How posseble is she by the way? Can you just move the arms?

  • Jay said,

you can move the arms, turn the wrists and turn her head left and right. that’s about it.

Hey ya! Very cool shots! I’d be very interested in how you got them (camera type, lighting, etc)

camera used: Nikon D60 w/ kit lens

lighting: ordinary desk lamp and emergency light. used a bit of tracing paper to cover the lights so that it’ll act like a diffuser.
