Kasdan to write screenplay for big-screen “Robotech” a.k.a. “Macross”
Late last year, it was announced that Warner Bros. and Maguire Entertainment, Tobey Maguire’s Production Company, have acquired the film rights for Robotech, which is more popularly known by anime fans outside the US as Macross.
Well, it seems that they’ve added a well-known screenwriter to pen the screenplay for Robotech. Veteran screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the screenplays for “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Return of the Jedi” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” has been hired to write the screenplay for Robotech.
Hmmm… judging from the qualities of the movies he wrote before, the production for Robotech seems to be getting off on a good start.
